The Dwelling of Dwarf is an interactive art piece about distance.
The lantern inhabited by dwarfs turn darker as people approach and brighter as they leave.
In contrast to ordinary lighting fixtures, this mysterious behavior makes an opportunity for visitors to think about the sense of distance between them and other people, as well as the sense of distance in the viewing experience.
There is a dwarf living in this lantern. This dwarf has the power to light the lights. In search of a safe home, the dwarf roams the dead lighting fixtures and settles on his favorite lights.Now, this lantern seems to be his favorite.
However, his life is always side by side with danger. He lives in secret so that no one can find them.

In a place that's too big, I don't know what to do.
My current house has a handle on the entrance. Of course, tatami mats, too!

Planning CG Movie Web Product Design
When we look closely at art, we often move closer to the subject. But what if there was art that could only be seen from a distance? ...... This project was inspired by this idea and started in the summer of 2019.
The theme of "distance", which unexpectedly became a trend of the times, entered the COVID-19 vortex during its creation. Our aim was to create a product that would be useful in the daily life of the Corona vortex, and we came up with a proposal for a lighting system that would make social distance a reality, both visually and indirectly.
